A union and two public interest groups have dropped a lawsuit against the Department of Government Efficiency, in a move to focus on related legal challenges to President Donald Trump’s organization tasked with swiftly shrinking the federal workforce and slashing government spending.
Although the notice of voluntary dismissal filed Monday didn’t detail why the American Federation of Government Employees, Public Citizen, and State Democracy Defenders Fund decided to abandon their case against DOGE, one of the groups clarified its motivation in an email to Bloomberg Law.
