Labor union elections and worker organizing drive across the country are effectively on hold as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The National Labor Relations Board is indefinitely postponing all elections to form unions through at least April 1, unless both the employer and union agree to use mail ballots, agency spokesman Edwin Egee told Bloomberg Law. The NLRB oversees union elections and adjudicates unfair labor practice cases between workers, unions, and private sector businesses.
