Ulta Beauty Must Face Warehouse Workers’ Wage, Hour Lawsuit

Ulta Beauty Cosmetics LLC lost its bid to escape a potential wage and hour class action brought by three former workers in its California warehouses and distribution facilities, after a federal court said the plaintiffs adequately alleged workers didn’t receive legally compliant meal and rest periods.

Susan Hansber, Nang Chan, and Jesus Moreno accuse Ulta, Spherion Staffing LLC, and a number of unnamed defendants of failure to pay hourly workers straight-time and overtime wages, failure to provide meal or rest periods or compensation in lieu thereof, failure to provide accurate wage statements, and unfair competition, among other claims.
