UE, IUE-CWA Members Ratify Four-Year Contracts With General Electric for 12,780

Members of two unions that represent the largest number of General Electric Co.'s U.S. workers ratified separate four-year contracts with the company June 30 that include about $15,500 more in compensation, an expansion of retirement benefits, and a slight increase in employee health-care premiums, the parties said late that day.

The contracts cover 3,480 employees represented by United Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers of America (UE) and 9,300 workers represented by the International Union of Electronic Workers, an affiliate of the Communications Workers of America (IUE-CWA). They take effect retroactively to June 2015 and expire in June 2019.
