Uber Didn’t Take Responsibility for Driver Attack, Lawsuit Says

Uber Technologies ignored a report of sexual assault by a driver, despite touting strong safety protocols, and should be held responsible for the attack, according to a lawsuit filed in California federal court.

A Georgia woman who brought the case under a pseudonym Jane Doe claims a driver gave her a ride home after a night of drinking and eventually followed her into her apartment and attempted to force oral sex on her, according to the lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
