The United Auto Workers’ President Shawn Fain has a new key win to cite in his upcoming reelection bid after the union secured a 36% wage increase over four years from a General Motors supplier.
The UAW Local 2093 said late Wednesday it reached a tentative agreement with Dauch Corp., formerly known as American Axle, that would achieve wages of $30 per hour by 2030. The deal ends a 10-day strike where nearly 1,000 workers walked off the job at a Three Rivers, Mich. facility.
