UAW Ends Bargaining Convention Promising a Fight if Necessary

The United Auto Workers struck a resolute and combative tone as it closed out a special convention on collective bargaining March 13. The convention comes as the union prepares to bargain with General Motors, Ford, and Fiat-Chrysler for new contracts this summer.

The three-day convention began March 11 in Detroit and convened more than 900 union delegates to set the UAW’s bargaining priorities for the next four years.
