An appeal challenging the reinstatement of the EEOC’s collection of race and gender pay data from employers was dismissed by the D.C. Circuit, after both the government and equal pay groups agreed the case was moot.
The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the White House’s Office of Management and Budget, the National Women’s Law Center, and the Labor Council for Latin American Advancement agreed a federal appeals court ruling is no longer necessary, considering the EEOC already has finished collecting the pay data.
