More U.S. Lawmakers Self-Quarantine After Two Contract Covid-19

More members of Congress said they are self-quarantining after two U.S. House members announced that they’d tested positive for the coronavirus.

As the government tries to mitigate the virus’s spread and soften the economic fallout, Representative Kathleen Rice, a New York Democrat, announced late Wednesday that she would self quarantine “out of an abundance of caution” after coming into contact with someone who had tested positive for the virus.

Rice joins several other members of Congress who are already in self-quarantine, raising questions about whether absences will complicate efforts to pass the next round of fiscal stimulus that is ...
