Two Port Truck Drivers Were Employees, Not Independent Contractors, NLRB ALJ Says

Two “lease drivers” for a drayage firm that performs short-distance hauling services at the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, Calif., were in fact employees of the company and not independent contractors, a National Labor Relations Board administrative law judge found April 9 (Green Fleet Sys. LLC, N.L.R.B. A.L.J., 21-CA-100003, 4/9/15).
