Twitter Workers Get Arbitration Fee Suit Sent to State Court

Twitter Inc. must fight a mass layoff-related suit alleging it failed to pay its share of arbitration fees in state court after a federal judge granted the workers’ request to remand the case.

More than a dozen fired workers sued Twitter, owner Elon Musk, and related entities after the social media platform didn’t pay case-initiating fees as required under its arbitration agreement. The company removed the state-law suit to federal court, but it failed to show that the case should stay there, the US District Court for the Northern District of California said Tuesday.
