Tucker Carlson hired Harmeet Dhillon on Wednesday to represent him in a gender discrimination lawsuit both he and Fox face from former producer Abby Grossberg.
Dhillon’s appearance comes less than a week after Baker McKenzie dropped the fired Fox News star as a client after Grossberg’s counsel argued the firm had engaged in a conflict by also representing Fox. Dhillon lost a campaign to be the Republican National Committee chair in January, and has represented Donald Trump supporters in a civil lawsuit.
Attorney Parisis Filippatos previously argued that Baker’s representation of both Fox and Carlson resulted in a clear conflict because Carlson’s firing prompted allegations of fraud and breach of contract.
The case is Grossberg v. FOX Corp., S.D.N.Y., No. 23-cv-02368, 5/17/23.
