TSA Officer Partly Advances Age Bias, Hostile Workplace Lawsuit

A Transportation Security Administration officer can pursue a hostile work environment claim, but her age discrimination allegations need more work before they can go forward, a federal judge said.

It’s too soon to tell if the worker’s constructive discharge theory properly supports her hostile workplace claim against TSA’s parent agency, the Department of Homeland Security, so that claim can move to the next stage, the US District Court for the Central District of California said. However, the complaint needs more detail about the worker’s alleged injury before her age bias claim can advance, the order said.
