The Trump administration’s impending action to temporarily bar foreign guestworkers from entering the U.S. likely will be met with litigation arguing that the order violates federal immigration and administrative laws, attorneys told Bloomberg Law.

Senior White House officials on Monday told reporters that President Donald Trump will sign an executive order banning entry to the U.S. for H-1B high-skilled guestworkers and their H-4 spouses waiting for green cards, intracompany transferees on L visas, summer exchange J visa holders, and non-agricultural seasonal H-2B guestworkers, with some exceptions.
