Trump Using Labor Dispute Panel to Bulldoze Unions: Complaint

President Donald Trump and the Social Security Administration are improperly using a labor dispute panel created by Congress to further Trump’s plan “to radically restructure federal sector labor relations,” a new lawsuit alleges.

The lawsuit, filed Sept. 4 by a government workers’ union, challenges a decision by the Federal Service Impasses Panel that dramatically reduced the amount of time that SSA employees who are also union officials can spend on representational activities. The decision also barred the union from using free office space at the agency.
