Trump to Name Loyalist Scavino as White House Personnel Chief

President Donald Trump plans to name longtime aide Dan Scavino as the director of the White House personnel office, an influential role responsible for staffing positions throughout the administrations.

Scavino, a deputy White House chief of staff, first met Trump years ago as a golf caddie and eventually rose to manage one of his clubs. He joined Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign as one of its first hires and helped run the president’s social media operation during his first term.
