Trump Taj Mahal Exits Bankruptcy, Icahn Takes Over

Trump Entertainment Resorts Inc., the casino operator founded by Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, emerged from bankruptcy court protection Feb. 26 and is now a subsidiary of billionaire investor Carl Icahn’s Icahn Enterprises LP (In re Trump Entm’t Resorts Inc., Bankr. D. Del., 14-12103, 2/26/16).

The exit from bankruptcy of the parent owner of Trump Taj Mahal, an Atlantic City, N.J., casino-resort, comes amid ongoing tension between Icahn and UNITE HERE Local 54.
