Trump Signs ‘Strengthening Buy American’ Executive Order (1)

President Donald Trump Jan. 31 signed another executive order intended to encourage federally assisted projects to use more U.S.-made goods like steel and aluminum.

The “Strengthening Buy American” executive order directs federal agency heads to encourage recipients of new federal financial assistance to use domestically made products like steel and cement for infrastructure projects, Peter Navarro, head of the White House National Trade Council, said on a call earlier in the day with reporters.
