Trump SCOTUS Shortlister Grant Might Go to Appeals Court First

Georgia Supreme Court Justice Britt Grant was 39 when added to President Donald Trump’s shortlist of U.S. Supreme Court nominees.

Even if she’s passed over for more well-known shortlisters, Grant has a significant chance of one day being on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, court watchers say.

Grant was one of five additions to the list in November 2017, along with fellow conservative Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh, of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, for whom she clerked.
