Trump Says Government Abuses Regulatory Authority Over Business

President Donald Trump said his administration is overhauling federal regulations and enforcement because the government has been using arbitrary and abusive tactics to “go after” businesses.

“Our commitment to regulatory reform stems from the simple truth that the vast majority of business owners want to do the right thing, comply with the law, and treat their workers fairly,” Trump said in his Feb. 10 budget message to Congress.
