Trump Names Cowen Acting NLRB General Counsel After Firings (1)

President Donald Trump appointed William Cowen as acting general counsel of the National Labor Relations Board, just days after firing the previous two top lawyers at the agency.

Cowen served as the NLRB regional director in Los Angeles since 2016 and was a board member for nearly a year in 2002, according to an agency statement announcing his appointment Monday evening. He’ll serve as general counsel until Trump names an official nominee who will go before the Senate for approval.
