Trump Makes Official Equal Employment Agency, Labor Board Picks

President Donald Trump sent to the Senate nominations for three seats on the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and for two on the National Labor Relations Board, moving to fill long-term vacancies and shore up future openings ahead of the November election.

Trump nominated Labor Department official Keith Sonderling and Gibson Dunn lawyer Andrea Lucas for Republican EEOC seats and civil rights attorney Jocelyn Samuels for a Democratic post on the commission, the White House announced Monday. Sonderling and Samuels would fill seats currently vacant, while Lucas would eventually replace commissioner Victoria Lipnic (R).
