Probationary federal employees would have fewer options for appealing their terminations under a new Trump administration proposal.
The proposed rule, to be published Tuesday in the Federal Register, would narrow the list of reasons probationary employees can use to challenge a decision not to be hired permanently and move appeals from the Merit Systems Protection Board to the Office of Personnel Management.
