President Donald Trump named Andrea Lucas chair of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission after she spent much of 2025 serving as the civil rights agency’s acting leader.
Her designation announced by the EEOC on Thursday follows the addition of a second Republican commissioner, Brittany Panuccio, which will allow the EEOC to vote on policy and litigation in line with the Trump administration’s agenda.
