The Trump administration objected to its acting personnel chief testifying in California federal court as part of a suit challenging its firing of tens of thousands of new hires.
Acting Office of Personnel Management Director Charles “Chuck” Ezell shouldn’t testify before the US District Court for the Northern District of California because forcing an acting head of an executive agency to testify at this early stage of litigation may create an “inter-branch constitutional controversy,” the administration said Monday.
