With losses mounting in lower courts, Trump officials are asking the US Supreme Court to quash judges’ ability to hear challenges to its elimination of temporary deportation protections for more than a million immigrants.

District court judges across the board have ruled the Department of Homeland Security skirted process requirements before terminating Temporary Protected Status designations, failing to properly assess ongoing danger from circumstances like armed conflict in immigrants’ home countries.
