The Trump administration must continue to recognize the union representing Transportation Security Administration workers after a federal judge ruled Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem likely violated federal law by nullifying the parties’ collective bargaining agreement.
Judge Marsha Pechman of the US District Court for the Western District of Washington ruled Monday that the American Federation of Government Employees would likely prevail in its arguments that Noem’s rescission of the 2024 labor contract was unlawful under the Administrative Procedure Act, as well as the First and Fifth amendments.
