Truist Bank Settles Hostile Work Environment, Firing Claims

Truist Bank Inc. has settled a lawsuit brought by a former employee alleging she was subjected to a hostile work environment and discrimination on the basis of her gender.

The terms of the agreement aren’t stated in the notice of settlement filed Monday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, and counsel for the parties didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.

The filing comes two months after Judge Leigh Martin May greenlighted Sherri Foster’s claim that the bank is vicariously liable for harassment by her supervisor that “culminated in” her discharge.
