Members of the United Auto Workers Aug. 18-19 ratified a historic first contract covering 700 dealers at Tropicana Casino and Resort in Atlantic City, N.J., three years after the dealers voted for union representation, the union and the company announced Aug. 19.
The five-year contract is the first among four casinos in Atlantic City where UAW organized thousands of dealers in 2007 at Tropicana (166 DLR A-1, 8/28/07), Caesars Atlantic City (53 DLR A-1, 3/20/07), Trump Plaza, and Bally’s Atlantic City(107 DLR A-6, 6/5/07).
