Trinity Health Michigan Dodges Nurse’s Disability Bias Claims

A nurse terminated after a work injury can’t bring disability discrimination and conspiracy claims against Trinity Health-Michigan’s St. Joseph Mercy Oakland hospital because it wasn’t her employer, the Sixth Circuit said.

Rachel Post began working at Trinity Health in 1980, the court said. In 2013, while Post was working as a anesthetist, the hospital outsourced its anesthesiology services to the Wayne State University Physician Group. Post then became an employee of the group and continued to work at St. Joseph.
