The IRS is violating its employees’ First Amendment rights by banning displays of pro-union materials in the workplace, the National Treasury Employees Union said in a federal lawsuit.
Internal Revenue Service leadership directed its facilities management arm to throw out NTEU materials displayed by agency employees, the latest in a series of Trump administration attacks on federal worker unions, according to the complaint filed Monday in US District Court for the District of Columbia.
