Treasury Union Seeks to Add IRS Shutdown Layoffs to Court Freeze

Three additional federal worker unions asked a California federal judge to expand a temporary pause on shutdown layoffs to their members, potentially shielding hundreds more Treasury and Department of Health and Human Services employees.

The National Treasury Employees Union and two others requested to join the case pending before Judge Susan Illston, who halted the Trump administration’s workforce cuts last week for other unions.
