Trademark applications related to green technology and climate change are eligible for reduced application fees under changes the US Patent and Trademark Office announced Wednesday.
The office has added 75 climate and green tech-related terms to its Trademark ID Manual—which determines what applications are eligible for lower-fee “TEAS Plus” filings—according to a PTO release.
The terms include “biomethane, research and development in the field of wind energy, and treatment of captured landfill gas,” the release said.
