Top US Court Turns Aside Macy’s Case on Expanded NLRB Remedies

The US Supreme Court declined to review the National Labor Relations Board’s power to require employers to compensate workers for the harm caused by unfair labor practices.

The justices on Monday rejected a request from Macy’s Inc. to review a federal appeals court decision that enforced an NLRB order calling for the company to pay for the downstream economic consequences of locking out union workers for several years.
