Top NLRB Lawyer Denies Direct Role in Reorganization Plan (1)

The federal labor board’s top lawyer told Democrats that agency officials have proposed restructuring certain case-handling and supervisory functions for seven Western regional offices, but rejected the lawmakers’ claim that he was directly responsible for the plan.

National Labor Relations Board General Counsel Peter Robb said Western regional directors developed a “resource sharing plan” that involves designating an official to allocate incoming cases across those seven regions. The proposal, which isn’t finalized, also would create a committee to handle trial assignments and call for some staffers to be supervised remotely, Robb said Friday in a letter to three Democratic lawmakers. ...
