Longtime National Labor Relations Board attorney Peter Sung Ohr was thrust into the spotlight in January when President Joe Biden fired the agency’s Trump-appointed general counsel and tapped Ohr as the acting replacement.

Since then, Ohr, who previously was the regional director in the agency’s Chicago office, has become something of a folk hero among many NLRB staffers for reversing Trump-era policies, but also a lightning rod for conservatives, who’ve branded him a member of the purported “deep state” for the same reason.
