Top NJ Firm Taps Ex-Murphy Staffer for New Government Group

Eric Brophy, a former aide to New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, will join Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi in September and co-chair the firm’s new government and regulatory law group, the firm said.

Last week’s announcement about the new group came days before a former CSG Law member, Emil Bove, was confirmed by the US Senate to serve as a judge in the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Bove previously worked in the white collar, criminal defense, and government investigations group at the firm after he left the Justice Department in 2021.
