A federal district court should set aside a policy directing the mass revocation of international students’ visas, national higher education groups argued in a revamped lawsuit.
The Presidents’ Alliance on Higher Education and Immigration is also asking the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts to block intimidiating emails to students from the US State Department intended to “create a climate of fear.” And it should set aside a Department of Homeland Security policy terminating students’ lawful status based on the loss of their visas, according to the amended complaint.
