Thrive Pet Settles Ex-Recruiter’s Free Speech Lawsuit Over Meme

Thrive Affordable Pet Care settled a lawsuit brought by a recruiter who said she was fired for posting a meme questioning Caitlyn Jenner’s gender identity and Elizabeth Warren’s racial makeup.

The veterinary provider and Candice Mumma filed a stipulation of dismissal in US District Court for the District of Connecticut Thursday after a successful settlement conference in March. The claims were previously set to be heard at a jury trial starting in June.

The settlement details aren’t publicly available, and neither party immediately responded to Bloomberg Law’s requests for comment.
