ThredUP Inc. won dismissal of a sex bias lawsuit brought by a male manager who was fired after he failed to respond to a female subordinate’s claims that a different co-worker was harassing her.
Frederick Starnes Jr. didn’t demonstrate a connection between his sex and his termination, the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania ruled Wednesday. His subjective belief that his gender played a role in his firing isn’t sufficient to sustain the claim, the court added.
