A Florida man was sentenced to five years in prison for his involvement in a scheme to defraud immigrant investors looking to secure a green card through the EB-5 visa program.
Ariel Quiros, 65, was also ordered to pay $8.3 million in restitution and serve three years on supervised release, according to an announcement Friday from the Department of Justice. He pleaded guilty in 2020 to conspiring to commit wire fraud, money laundering, and concealing material facts from a federal agency.
