U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services has conducted a third lottery for high-skilled guest worker visas to meet a cap for fiscal 2022, the agency announced.
H-1B registrants selected in the Friday lottery will be able to submit petitions between Nov. 22 and Feb. 23.
USCIS reviews historical data on approvals, denials and other factors to determine the number of registrations to meet the cap in a given fiscal year, said agency spokesman Matthew Bourke. The agency will review the patterns and trends involving this filing “season” to inform the selection process going forward, he said in an emailed statement.
