A Philadelphia-based federal appeals court Monday appeared unwilling to allow a third trial in a nearly decades-long misclassification dispute brought by three drivers for Uber’s luxury black car service.

The US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit heard arguments in a long-running dispute over whether Uber Technologies Inc. wrongfully treated three drivers for its high-end taxi service as independent contractors instead of employees.
