Textron Beats Bias Claim by Manager Who Didn’t Report Harassment

A Textron Aviation Inc. manager lacked evidence he was forced out because he was 61, not for failing to escalate a report that a subordinate was sexually harassing another employee, a Kansas federal judge ruled.

The Textron Inc. aviation unit’s workplace policy required managers and supervisors to bring reports of harassment to the attention of their managers or supervisors; human resources; or an ethics, compliance, or legal representative, the US District Court for the District of Kansas said Thursday.
