A Texas teacher was fired with good cause after a series of tweets to then-president Donald Trump that singled out students over their immigration status and ethnicity, a state appeals court ruled.
Fort Worth Independent School District fired high school teacher Georgia Clark over her 2019 social media posts because she failed to comply with district policy that prohibits discrimination against any student on the basis of race and national origin. She also ran afoul of a 1982 US Supreme Court ruling that guarantees all children the right to public education, the Texas Court of Appeals, Third District, said.
