Texas Pushes EEOC on Workplace Gender Identity Protections

Texas and the Heritage Foundation have asked a Texas federal court for a quick-turnaround decision on their bid to block EEOC guidance that reinforces LGBTQ+ harassment protections in the workplace.

The April guidance should be struck down because it goes beyond the boundaries of US Supreme Court precedent, one of the reasons a similar policy was tossed in 2021, the Republican-run state and the think tank behind Project 2025 told the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas in seeking summary judgment.
