Texas Professor Nears Deal to End ‘Microaggressions’ Flyers Suit

The University of North Texas and a mathematics professor who says his employment was terminated because he criticized the theory of “microaggressions” and wouldn’t apologize for doing so tentatively settled his free-speech suit, federal court records show.

The US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas entered an order Thursday continuing the stay of all case deadlines in Nathaniel Hiers’ lawsuit. The parties notified the court “that they have reached a settlement agreement and are in the process of obtaining all required signatures,” the order said.
