Employees who performed post-disaster assessments and cleanup in California asked a federal district court to grant wages, compensation, and other relief that they say Tetra Tech Inc. and Jesco Environmental & Geotechnical Services Inc. owe for labor law violations.
The employers violated state and federal labor regulations, according to a suit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California on Wednesday. The class alleges failure to pay overtime and minimum wages, to provide meal and rest periods, and to reimburse for business expenses.
