In the new role, Devasini will focus on macroeconomic strategy and guide Tether as it advances digital-asset adoption, the company said in a statement on Monday. Devasini is the controlling shareholder in Tether, according to public filings.
The El Salvador-headquartered firm also appointed Simon McWilliams to replace Devasini as CFO, the statement said. McWilliams was formerly chief financial officer at investment firm
