The National Labor Relations Board invited the public to submit briefs in a case involving Tesla Inc. to weigh in on whether the board should reconsider an Obama-era precedent for employer restrictions against wearing union insignia in the workplace.
Briefs are due by March 15, according to the invitation issued Friday.
The case represents an opportunity for the NLRB’s Republican majority to give employers more leeway to keep union symbols out of their facilities. President Joe Biden can’t install a Democratic majority on the board until after a GOP member’s term expires in late August.
